Georg Diedenhofen
Perfect talk show preparation
Georg Diedenhofen – talk show strategist, editorial professional, media trainer
Georg Diedenhofen is one of the most distinguished talk show editors in Germany. For over 17 years, he headed the editorial team of the ARD program “hart aber fair”, worked closely with presenter Frank Plasberg and was responsible for over 500 political talk shows, numerous election specials, chancellor duels and special broadcasts. As the journalistic mind behind one of the most successful political formats on German television, he knows all the mechanisms of a talk show – in terms of dramaturgy, content and communication.
Before Georg Diedenhofen joined “hart aber fair”, he was head of the ZDF capital city studio in Berlin for the program “Berlin Mitte” / “Maybrit Illner” (2004-2006) and was responsible for the Phoenix talk show “Unter den Linden” (2002-2004) as editor and studio manager. Earlier positions took him to various radio stations as editorial director and to RIAS Berlin as a reporter, where he reported on the decisive moments of German reunification.
Georg Diedenhofen is a qualified journalist, trained interviewer and sought-after trainer – especially for board members, ministers, press spokespersons and speakers who are preparing for panel discussions, talk formats, election campaign duels or TV interviews. It trains presence, clarity and conflict competence – and provides insights into how guests can assert themselves in live situations, sharpen their positions and counter attacks.
As a trainer at Sparkpoint, Georg Diedenhofen does not teach theory, but applied media practice – with a look behind the scenes, from the perspective of the editorial team and with the aim of guiding people confidently through controversial formats.
