Presentation psychology: enemies in the audience

Tonight’s TV duel between Clinton and Trump shows again how important psychology is, especially in TV debates. Psychological warfare is part of the election campaign. Here are two examples:

• The Clinton team was said to have invited Trump’s billionaire arch-enemy Mark Cuban to the debate. He calls Trump a “lunatic.”
• Trump is heard threatening to offer Gennifer Flowers a front row seat. Flowers claimed during the 1992 campaign to have had a long affair with Bill Clinton. Clinton denied it at the time, but was forced to admit years after his election that he had had sex with Flowers.
